Apple's first weekend of iPhone 7 sales roughly in line with earlier iPhones, data suggests

(Off-topic: I had something weird happen for the first time ever, with an Apple product shipment. I took advantage of the ATT promo to return my son's 6 for a free 7. The Fedex 'delivery' arrived last Friday, but there was a peculiar note from the delivery guy: it said, "go to the Fedex office to pick it up". I did, the person at the Fedex office brought over my box: it was opened..... with no phone inside! I was told that "...it probably fell off." I've been wasting time with ATT and Fedex these past couple of days, and finally they told me that a new one will be on its way in "7-10 days.") -
Apple fans line up worldwide for iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus & Apple Watch Series 2

Apple fan lines are ridiculed by pundits and critics alike. Even some stuffed shirts right here on AI point and laugh while solemnly declaring they would never stand in line for anything. Apple customers who stand in line are denigrated as robot lemmings and “iSheeple.” You know what? That’s pure, unadulterated jealousy. Other smartphone manufacturers would sell their grandmothers into slavery to see lines like that for their products. Of course those other manufacturers don’t have many stores for people to line up in front of do they? The stores themselves are objects of derision and jokes right here on AI too. More evidence of raging jealousy. -
Class-action lawsuit targets Apple's iPhone Upgrade Program
If you think Apple is bad...try Sprint. On the phone literally 5+ hours, told 5 different stories/costs none of which bore any resemblence to the program benefits delineated when getting the phone last year (I took pics of the point of sale collateral materials). Sprint's iPhone Forever means you will be on the phone forever interacting with people who either were never trained or never had a brain. At one point i said to the representative, "did you listen to yourself?" A complete disgrace. -
Apple Watch Series 2 abandons gold Edition models in favor of ceramic
bdkennedy said:Having a gold watch is meaningful only if you can still use it 10, 20, 50 years from now. In 5 years the Gold Apple Watch would be worth nothing except for the gold. -
What you need to know about Apple Watch Series 2 before preorders begin on Friday, Sept. 9
I bought the original AW out the gate. I was so hoping that the AW2 would offer something irresistible to inspire purchase. It has not. While I go to the gym 5x/week, the GPS does little for me. Water resistance means nothing for me so only the improved processor would move me to buy as I do think the watch slow. I'll read more reviews before making a final decision but it is looking like AW3 for me at this point.
