  • Apple's iOS 13.2 release bricks HomePod for some users [u]

I always wait at least a week before updating.
Given that there are over 1.5 billion iOS devices, the odds of a device being bricked are lower than being struck by lightning.

But wait away if it makes you feel better.
It doesn’t work like that since there are not 1.5b HomePods. There’s an unusually high number of HomePods being bricked where there are huge threads of tons of people saying they are bricked. Plus, it seems as if apple pulled the update, meaning it’s an issue. So stop being a jackass.

    Ummm COLORS?!
Not mentioned on Apple’s website. If you click the Buy button there are no colors to choose from. So it would appear they are available only in white.
That’s so boring and tired. Not everyone likes or wants white.

  • Samsung T5 Review: Two years after release, it's still a great portable SSD for Mac or iPa...

I use these myself. Exceptionally portable if need be, smaller than an iPhone 4. I use one for carrying between computers and the other as a static drive to augment a laptop's built in SSD. Prices have fallen on these and well worth the money now.
So they work well with all your Windows machines? Can you transfer data to your Pixel easily? /s
Always provoking people you are. Maybe one day you’ll actually have something nice to say to someone that still enjoys Apple but maybe has a slightly different opinion than you. I wish you well.

It's too long and I will pass. The only one I am excited with is AppleTV+, $4.99 is a no brainer. There is a new website for AppleTV+ which looks interesting.

    Pass on both.

Not a Disney fan and do not do comic books or comic book movies.
The Apple offering does not look worth paying for- a lot of retreaded or derivative stuff.

You can just leave it as "not interesting" but instead have to add degrading remarks for something that you haven't even watched yet. Typical.
It’s the same as you being “excited” for something you haven’t watched and could potentially be garbage.

  • Review: Sonos Move is the do-it-all AirPlay 2 speaker you've been looking for

Andrew_OSU said: I love my HomePod. I use it for Siri all the time. BUT -- and I've said it since day 1 -- the bass is overpowering and sloppy. If you try to listen to something with spoken dialogue like an audiobook or as a speaker for the TV the bass is too much that it muddles the words. It is also heavy-handed for action movie explosions.
Apple never marketed the HomePod as a TV speaker, not even as a minor selling point. I could complain about the relative portability of the ZVOX speaker under my TV, but then it was never marketed as a portable despite the fact that you can technically move it from room to room if you really wanted to.
So not as versatile as the Sonos! Got it!
