  • China reports record sales and 33% growth in non-Android smartphones, casts doubt on 'peak iPhone'

I dunno... Somehow 80+% of phone sales being Android doesn't make me feel all warm and fuzzy.

  • Inside iOS 9.3: Apple's native apps gain new 3D Touch shortcuts on iPhone 6s

You've got the wrong end of the stick entirely. He's saying that Apple's putting shortcuts for their financial gain above ease of use for the user.
no, we got that. and he correctly identified it as pointless complaining. "redeeming" a gift card is a valid use case. one which surely apple has metrics on how often people need to perform it -- enough so to make a shortcut useful.

but if you have data to show thats unlikely, id love to see it.
You're the one who "surely" brought up metrics data. So, you show yours first...
My guess (which is as good as yours) is it's there simply as advertisement to remind people about buying and using (now, with all new the convenient pop-up!), Apple gift cards.

  • Microsoft rep pans iPad Pro, says Apple's tablet is 'always going to be a companion device'

Intellectual bankruptcy is what Microsoft does best, so of course they take the Jobs quote out of context.
    Perfectly said.

  • Apple's competition is going to have a tough year in 2016: part 2

Daniel Eran Dilger verbose posts supported by numerous charts give Apple investors exactly what they want to hear - that Apple is doing fantastic job and the bright future is ahead. Keep listening to this old DED tune, while AAPL stock melts down. And it will keep melting down because Apple products start to suck.
One fundamental problem with Apple that Cook failed to fix and DED failed to address is Apple's perennially weak cloud. Without a strong cloud, iPhone becomes more a jewelry item than a useful device (I know, the comparison is extreme, iPhone is still a good phone but I want to drive the point). DED barely mentions cloud in his post saying it "need to be fixed or improved." Right.... Eddy Cue can fix the cloud, and you know what else... pigs can fly.
One question every Apple investor should ask is this. Are Apple products as useful and as easy to use relative to their competition as they used to be? If not, then they do not justify the premium price Apple demands for them; Apple's popularity will go down and so will its stock.
My god... That is soooooooooo stupid.
    Just unbelievable. :D

  • Apple's competition is going to have a tough year in 2016

Is this an article that is supposed to make us feel good because the stock is taking a beating?
Pretty much, exactly. Articles like this always strike me like a desperate man trying to logically argue his way into a second date. If she didn't like what she saw, she didn't like what she saw, and the market is much more fickle than any blind date I've ever been on.

As I've said in other articles, I just hope Tim has something really good lined up for March.
Wow. Only took you two senetences to contradict yourself.
