Female Apple employee put on administrative leave following tweets about sexism in the wor...

She sounds more like she was pissed about not being able to continue to work remotely, so she trashed her company…which is about as progressive as companies get…for being sexist.Unbelievable. She should be grateful she has such an awesome job. There are probably thousands who would gladly take her place.
You're not in her place. You have ZERO insight into this. You're a male, at that. Apple or any corp isn't "the hand that feeds". Getting paid is *compensation* for work done. It's not a gift. It's not a hand out. It's a contracted agreement.
If someone's dad who knows sh*t about what's really going on with her situation feels free to be sexist and assuming and thinks he knows what's right for her and have nothing to gain or lose, what do you think the possibilities are for others at the Apple who equally do not know her specific circumstance but may have their job performance judged on how their handling of this affects the company?
Have a bit of empathy. Or of you can't or won't muster that much, try some sympathy. Still lacking that and feeling a bit sociopathic here? Silence works.

Apple issues $6.5B bond to fund buyback, acquisitions

That nasty sh*t that's going on here is that by doing this, Apple avoids corporate taxes AND manages to concentrate wealth in both the corporation itself and the shareholders. Of course, you have to be well-off enough to be able to put money into stocks in the first place. Those living paycheck to paycheck can neither avoid taxes this way and do not get any benefits to moves like this.
Nice job, corporate tax system! -
M1 16-inch MacBook Pro mistakenly listed by Apple Germany
It was obsolete, deficient, underpowered, and overpriced when it was released. I mean, seriously, a processor released in 2020 that couldn't address more than 16GB RAM? A processor released in 2020 that could only handle two Thunderbolt/USB ports? A processor that can't even handle a dedicated GPU so you get nothing but its underpowered integrated graphics? It's fine for a toy like the iPad, but it doesn't belong in a computer.Apple shouldn't have used that junk in last year's computers. It definitely doesn't belong in computers that haven't even been released yet.
oh, ffs. You could at least found a novel way to say "graphical toy",
Tell us, what exactly does it mean to be able to "handle" a discrete GPU? And is that different to a "dedicated" one?
Tell us in terms of, say, mem copies, bus traversals and cycles why a "dedicated" is better.
Or don't bother, and instead figure out why everyone else is running towards Apple's way of doing things and playing catch-up to Apple's "obsolete" approach. -
