Hands On: Aurum-Edition Apple Watch is a $6,000 24-karat timepiece
Beats said:darkvader said:Beats said:Apple discontinuing the Edition was one of their biggest mistakes ever. Millionaires will just go to 3rd parties(like this one for example) to blow their money.
Poor people always complain about why they can’t afford but Apple should have at least kept the OPTION for those who can afford it.Look everybody, some jerk whose taxes aren't nearly high enough!!!!Apple has enough trouble with their reputation as a company that makes horrible products that only people with more money than brains buy as it is.The original "Edition" watch was a stupid mistake. Apple likely only ever sold a few dozen, and probably lost tens of thousands of sales because of it.Spending seven digits on a watch is stupid, and that's true whether you spend it on an Apple watch or one of those ridiculous Swiss mechanical watches that for some stupid reason (marketing) are still being built in 2021 even though they've been utterly, totally, and completely obsolete for virtually my entire life. The 1st gen "Idiotion" was a bad idea, and quietly dropping it was an incredibly smart move from Apple.Poor people always think rich people are dumb.
Not the case.
Apple has a reputation for making good products that idiots think are crap. Not sure why you’d call Apple products “horrible”. -
Foreign hackers breach US Treasury Department

Sounds like something that Putin would do, considering his pal (crony?) has been voted out of office.
What I want to know is: Was this a zero-day, or was treasury behind on their maintenance?
If behind, someone needs to pay with his career.
Microsoft to DOJ: You should look in Apple's app store.
Me: You should look into the vulnerabilities using Microsoft software exposes you to. -

Apple starts development of in-house cellular modem
tht said:Feels like they should have started 4 years ago, but good to hear they are committed. They could have switched Macs to Apple Silicon in 2018. And their own cellular modems could have been started in 2016 or 2017. They basically wasted billions and 4 years to groom Intel to be a secondary or primary modem provider, but Intel has poorly performed in virtually everything they have touched the past 3 to 4 years.Lol, right. I mean really they should have started 8 years ago so they could switch Macs to Apple silicon in 2014. And their own cellular modems could have been started in 2012 or 2013. Making a technological roadmap after the fact is a breeze. I wonder if there are any paying jobs in that field.
