Apple's 'iPhone 7' again said to have pressure sensing haptic home button
tailstoo said:I would love the better camera, but there are two other things I would need:
- A way to charge the phone as well as listen to audio wired (wireless charging would be great!)
- Waterproofing (or at least water resistance).
What are the odds Apple will address those two areas?
At this point no one knows if Apple will include lightning EarPods or Bluetooth. Your last question is a definite yes response. This new iPhone has been in development for probably over 18 months. Apple will address all areas that you brought up. They're pretty smart guys. -
Bluetooth streaming problems introduced in Apple's iOS 9.2 remain, have wide ramifications
My Apple Watch had major connectivity issues after the iOS update. Apple wouldn't admit there was an issue and my iPhone 6 Plus was still under warranty as was my Watch. The Apple Store replaced both of them twice after I went through Apple hell of which most of you probably know I mean.
After developer iOS and WatchOS 3 was released I took a chance and knew the risks. The first 2 betas were pretty rough and some apps just didn't work. But all of my Bluetooth issues disappeared not only with my Apple Watch but a couple of headsets I had given up on.
I am a diabetic and I have two different glucose meters that connect via Bluetooth and often lost connection. I had to go into settings and forget the connection and then go into the app and reconnect. Not anymore!
Some of you might be noticing a high number of app updates happening. I'm finding that apps that weren't working on iOS 10 are now working with the update. Developers are hard at work! -
Verizon to buy struggling Yahoo for $4.83 billion
I have had an AOL email account and use it as my primary account. I've had it since 1994 when AOL was the only consumer service for connecting to the world. Back then I connected via a 300 bps modem and then I thought I was in heaven when I upgraded to 1200 bps. What a wonder a 19200 bps was! What a bill I sometimes racked up at the hourly rate. Today if I use the AOL web interface for email access since Verizon bought them what a miriad of ads and crappy news I see!
I have used Yahoo! as my home page for years. I like the layout even though it's been through some interesting changes over the years. I get my appleinsider headlines via Yahoo!. I'm not looking forward to what Verizon might do to Yahoo! and my favorite homepage. I'm 59 and change is difficult for this old guy on such things. I always look forward to OS and productivity app upgrades but when I start my browser I want my Yahoo!

MacKeeper threatens 14-year-old YouTube video maker with harassment suit
digitalclips said:YouTube and Apple should defend Luqman Wadood for telling the truth!
If YouTube jumped into defending every lawsuit defending, or prosecuting for that matter, concerning videos posted to their website they would have to create a huge non-profit department strictly for that purpose. This article is pure click bait because it involves a teenager.
Apple doesn't control third party software that makes false claims via advertising. "There's a sucker born every minute." Customers who purchase software other than mainstream without doing research based solely on the scare tactics provided by the bogus software. Again Apple would spend all their time in defense and prosecution cases involving software in one way or another.

Apple's Mac sheds marketshare in Q2, sinks to 5th place amid worldwide sales slowdown
apple ][ said:Apple is never going to be #1 in marketshare, so who cares. Making a nice profit is what matters, not making cheap junk and selling it to cheap people.
What's better? 100 pounds of feces or 1 pound of pure gold? Which would you rather have?
The truth is is that the PC industry as a whole is collapsing and those that are showing higher market share this year will drop next year after the mass market is complete in fill up. The repeat customers will be those that need to replace systems that have stopped working. Apple has a base of customers that are willing to buy at a premium price and continue to upgrade on a consistent basis.
