  • TikTok 'shocked' by US executive order and impending ban

I am shocked too... this is unprecedented. There is no reason or justification other than hey, these apps are from a Chinese company.

Not from the government of China, not from a company owned by the government of China, just from a private business which, by the way, even offered their source code to be audited.

Expect China to reciprocate with the banning of legitimate USA apps just for being from the USA.

Not good. Not wise. Not just.

This is so wrong I don’t even know where to begin. I guess I’ll start with the fact that there is virtually no difference between the communist party of china and “private“ companies in China.

There is virtually no difference between your sentence and a random comment generated by a broken machine.

Chinese companies are owned by the Chinese government.

You either have no idea or you are not very adept to checking facts that contradict your thoughts, right?

    Maybe both.

Even Sequoia Capital is an investor in the company.  Oh, maybe Sequoia is also owned by the Chinese government.

  • Mac Pro can now be configured with AMD's W5700X GPU

Buy one, 600$, buy two, 1600$. What's the logic?

  • Spotify, Pandora, and other music apps could gain Siri playback controls

Most of the Spotify users I know have always said that Siri control of playback was not important when I cited using Siri as a great way to control Apple Music. Curious to see if their minds will be changed if Spotify ends up integrating Siri control.
What? I am a die hard Spotify user and I celebrate Apple openness - it was about time.

I have every Apple device but the HomePod just because it cannot handle Spotify. In fact, I think that if Siri really can manage Spotify I will buy at least one.

And no, I will not switch to Apple Music, I love Spotify!
