  • Google & Microsoft each laying off over 10,000 employees

Don’t blame the companies, blame the idiots who drove our economy into the ground.

  • Future iPhone could stop music & video when you're not paying attention

I never “pay attention” to my phone when it’s playing music or podcasts…I just want it to play. Sometimes the phone is in my pocket during those times. How could I pay attention in that case?
I definitely don’t want it to shut off if I avert my eyes from the screen for a minute or two while watching tv or YouTube.  Most people stop paying attention the second a commercial or ad starts playing. Sounds like a solution to a problem that doesn’t really exist.

  • Tim Hortons offers free coffee to settle mobile app class action lawsuits

Just another reason not to use store apps. PS Tim Hortons is owned buy a conglomerate called Restaurant Brands International, which also owns Burger King, Popeyes, and Firehouse Subs.

  • Bill to boost US chip manufacturing clears Senate hurdle

This is great news if it goes according to plan and if the money is actually used for its intended purpose. We will most assuredly see prices go up here in the United States for computers, Phones and Cars or anything that uses and utilizes these Chips. Currently they are manufactured cheaper outside the United States with cheaper labor costs. As long as the quality and craftsmanship is high then I don’t mind paying more as long as we can stay competitive or surpass other countries. And… if it will create more jobs here in the United States then that is obviously a good thing.
Labor is less but China has the majority of raw materials for chips within its border so much less importing than US companies would do. I hope China is watching its hazardous waste stream because this is a huge cost in the US unless trump got rid of all the controls.
China cares little for its hazardous waste stream.

  • Apple Store opening in Wuhan teased with wallpaper release

The logo should be a spikey Apple.
That’s the first thing I though of. Nicely done!
