Wish List:
  1. Siri for audio controls w/o iPhone (e.g., with Watch)
  2. Siri phrases for direct volume level ("Set volume 80%")
  3. Software update to handle user taps differently in each AirPod.  e.g.,:
           Left AirPod = Volume
               - Single Tap   = lower volume
               - Double Tap = higher volume
            Right AirPod = Play / Pause
               - Single Tap  = toggle Play / Pause
               - Double Tap = Siri

So this is Nokia's turnaround strategy?  Suing competitors?

I'm stretching here, but maybe Apple is exploring a secondary display on all devices:

• Macbook............. Touch Bar
• iPhone................. Curved Edge (2017)
• Watch.................. Band with woven display-pixels (patent article earlier this week)
• iPad..................... The above (3rd party) solution is an example

There's probably no master plan, but it is an interesting coincidence.

... although i'm not sure if the game-play would be as nice without physical controller buttons.

That second patent seems interesting  as another unique way to personalize the AW, especially appealing to the adolescent and young adults. Having a band on your watch with your name in lights!

It also could serve as a 2nd display for developers, similar to the new Touch Bar on MacBook Pro.
