  • MagSafe may be expanding beyond Mac and iPhone to the iPad

Wireless charging has been a factor constantly talked about being added to iPads with the constant issue being a large glass back would be too fragile. Personally I think Apple should make the Apple logo be the main charging area so you can add a charging case that pops on.

The logo being the charging area would present a problem with an iPad completely covering any charging mat, including those that charge more than one device. A more elegant solution would be to put the charging area in one of the three available corners, so that only a fraction of the iPad would need to make contact with the charging pad.

This is what I want for the Apple TV…for it to present as a smart display while it sits idle.

    Exactly!
Plus, all of my Macs are in home office space while my TV is in family space. It would be nice to be able to sequence through security and doorbell cameras from the TV when I’m in the family room/kitchen/dining space.

It kinda does already. I agree, that having full Home control in stand-by would be awesome, However, you can currently view all you're HK cameras through the Apple TV and even control devices in those rooms. Also can turn scenes on and off.

  • Apple TV+ cancels 'High Desert' after only one season

Look. I would actually prefer it if there is not a second or third season for a show. Just tell a complete story in the first season. If that takes 8, 12, 16 or 24 shows so be it. The one story.

the trouble with second, third and fourth seasons etc is that usually the writers can’t think of a story. Or they get new writers in. Never ends well.

    it’s what the Koreans do.

Agreed. I like when the story arc has been thought through and the creative team has an end game. One of the benefits of the streaming renaissance has been the increased implementation of of the limited series, what used to be called a mini-series. Some stories need more than a movie but don't need 100 episodes. Apple's Blackbird is an excellent example. 6 Episodes. Story told in 6 or 10 or whatever episodes and then done.

Tesla has such a lead in all EV areas, I can’t believe Apple would have much to contribute other than improving CarPlay.

You're right. Nobody else should make an EV then. Just what everyone said when Ford was the first company manufacture cars on an assembly line. Ugh!

  • Second Apple Watch Ultra due this fall on Apple's product roadmap

Crossing my fingers for some upgraded battery experience (e.g., longer charge life and possibly faster charge turnaround) for the Series 9 Watch. That would make it easier to be a true all-day wearable.

An "action" button (a la Watch Ultra) might be nice to program for a specific feature (e.g., start a timer or a workout our something).

Who doesn't get a day out of a Watch with a full charge?!
