If you have an iPhone with AT&T, there's a good chance your info has been stolen
eriamjh said:killroy said:Only four digits in the pass code good grief AT&T.How about 2-factor login? How about non-socially stealable questions (not “what street did you live on” or “what city were you born”, but something not guessable from your address or commonly posted info).
Passcode is NOT the password. It's used when someone on your account that's not you wants to upgrade their phone when you are not present.

US DOJ attacks nearly every aspect of Apple's business in massive antitrust suit
pslice said:I realize the DOJ is an independent entity from the political parties, but there are two tech political parties, Apple and the “others”. I think the “others” are in charge of this legal action and it’s driven by their jealousy of Apple’s ecosystem. These “others” need to get over themselves. As a long time Apple consumer, I am really tired of these frivolous lawsuits. Don’t like Apple, don’t buy Apple.
DOJ is not independent. It is a department within the Executive branch, run by an Attorney General that is appointed by the prsident.

European Union smacks Apple with $2 billion fine over music streaming
The US should really should be targeting European companies that do significant business in the US and start finding (or making up) reasons to issue significant fines and other penalties. Every time the EU targets an American-based company, the US should do the same. Time to start putting some retaliatory pressure on the EU.

Apple designed its new Sports app to be fast and simple
auxio said:Like the clean, ad-free interface, but it'd be nice to be able to check the standings for a league.
You can. It's the first thing that pops up when you click on a game that hasn't happened yet and it's below the info for an in-progress or played game.

The United States cellular network struggled the morning of February 22
AppleInsider said:In some cases with an iPhone 14 or iPhone 15, users are seeing the SOS notification in the upper-right hand corner of the screen where the signal strength meter normally is. That's an indicator of no cell service, but access to the SOS over Satellite feature.Read on AppleInsider
That SOS indicator has nothing to do with the "Satellite" feature. Shows up on every phone when there is no cell signal.
