Intel swipes at Apple Silicon with selective benchmark claims
If Intel hadn’t gone to sleep at the wheel several years back, they could have made progress toward increased performance smaller die processes with chip fabricating (instead of being stuck at 14 nm for ages), and associated efficiencies. If they had, they would likely be king of processors with Apple as their biggest customer.
But they are not. TSMC has grown into a powerhouse, strongly supported by Apple, currently with a 3 Nam process. Intel is now begging TSMC to let them outsource 3 nm chips from them.
How the complacent mighty Intel has fallen.

Apple rumored to invest $3.6B in Kia to produce 100,000 'Apple Cars' per year
fred1 said:I wonder how much the Kia name will affect the whole image of the Apple car. Kia may be a fine producer of cars, I don’t know, but I believe it”s seen as producing inexpensive cars for the lower sector of the market. Even if Apple has full control of every aspect of the design and manufacture, will people be able to disassociate it from the Kia brand?
Do you remember all the jokes when the iPad came out? “No women were on the team that came up with that (iPad) name.” “Pro version will be called the MaxiPad.” “Who could ever take “iPad” seriously?” Et cetera. A year later, the jokes were gone, and the iPad was the only serious tablet out there. Everyone wanted one, and they didn’t even know why.
If the Apple Car gets fabricated/assembled by Kia, people will make jokes during the first couple of months. After a year, it will barely be remembered. Apple Car will be no joke; it will be groundbreaking. People will soon start to think “Apple” when they see it, not “Kia.” We don’t read these forums thinking, “Yeah, that new Foxconn phone that Apple’s will sell is going to be sweet!” -
Jeff Bezos to step down as Amazon CEO, AWS chief Andy Jassy to fill role in Q3
gmgravytrain said:I can't imagine why Bezos would do something like that. I don't think big investors will be happy hearing this news. I know it shouldn't make a difference but big investors have some weird ways of thinking about succession issues.Wow! Amazon's revenue of $125B absolutely crushed Apple's measly $111B. No wonder investors are dumping Apple. I guess you can't blame them for wanting to own a company that makes that much money. I suppose Bezos can step down after that sort of finale performance. It's back to the drawing board for Apple.

And the GREAT news is that it only has a “few meter” range, so you will have a microwave in every room!! -
