iPhone 14 Pro Max already backordered, amidst Apple Store issues
Even though AppleInsider said that orders had begun at exactly 5amPST, it took an extra minute for it to appear in my Apple Store app. Because I completed all the preorder information two days earlier, I sailed through the purchase process and was not only finished within a minute, I received an email notification almost immediately afterwards. Thanks Apple!

Apple unveils iPhone 14 Pro & iPhone 14 Pro Max with always-on display
Having watched the entire presentation, I've decided to upgrade from the 13 Pro to the 14 Pro. The upgrades were, in my opinion, worth the change. However, I decided against upgrading from AW7 to AW8. Crash detection is coming to both models with WatchOS9, so I'll wait until next year's AW9.

Apple's latest security update is important, but the mass-media response is unhinged
It was a major news story on a number of networks such as ABC.cpsro said:I’ve a good idea why Fox News has made the update their lead story: distract from Weisselberg flipping and getting a very light sentence for pleading guilty to 15 felonies. Maybe the story will push some people to Android, too, where they can be tracked and monetized better.
Update: the security update has been pushed into second place by a critical story about transgender students.
