  • Russian bank exec says Apple Card has 'few innovative features' [u]

Is there any innovation in the Apple Card at all? For me (in a market where there is no Apple Card), it looks like a card that has various standard features when it comes to rates and perks, looks good,  is integrated with Apple Pay and has an app showing where your money has been used.

Nothing new about any of this.

The card is all about good execution rather than innovation - which is perfectly fine.
I only new Innovation I could think of doing on a credit card is if you never had to pay off the balance. But really, it's a CREDIT CARD. You are given credit where you can take out a loan at any time and pay it of when you want, paying at least the minimum per month. Apple made it somewhat easier I guess. My Chase Credit card, which is my Amazon Card, I just have it setup to auto pay it off fully every month. That way I get my Amazon credit and never pay any interest charges. I'm not going to charge up my credit card if I can't pay it fully off that month. I don't want Credit Card debt. I had that when I was young, and never again.

  • Editorial: Steve Jobs shared secrets of Apple's iPad but nobody listened

The whole stylus thing people like to bring up really is getting LAME. See in the past with devices like the Newton or Windows Mobie PDA and phone, ALL required the use of a stylus. This was bascially just a small cheap plastic stick type thing. You really couldn't use your finger. You had small boxes, and scroll down menu's etc that you couldn't do with your fingers. I had a a HP iPak Windows Mobile 5 PDA with a swipe finger print reader. It had the stylus of course back then. You couldn't use your finger with it.

Of course these stylus were small, plastic sticks that would get lost all the time. If you lost it and didn't have a spare, you couldn't use your device. When Steve jobs announced the iPhone and that you didn't need a stylus, except the one one attached to your hand, your Finger. This was what he was talking about. You can use your finger to navigate around your device. Of course Apple years later came out with their Pencil. That's really not a Stylus. Again a stylus is a small plastic stick type thing and the Apple Pencil is far more complex that that. It's also something you DON'T have to have or use. It's 100% a optional thing. In no way is it required to have to use your iPhone or iPad. This whole stylus thing needs to end.

Even Samesungs Note which includes a stylus, many people didn't even use that. They just wanted the larger screen phone and still used their fingers. Android also doesn't require a stylus to be used to get around the OS. It has it if case you want to write on the screen in better detail than your finger.

  • Apple TV+ versus Disney+ compared -- the streaming wars escalate

Apple is certainly providing R-rated content — I can’t even count the number of times Steve Carell, Jennifer Aniston, and even Reese Witherspoon curse in The Morning Show‘s first 3 episodes. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I haven't watch that yet. I heard it wasn't very good? I h ave watched SEE which I like. That 3rd episode is pretty bloody. Looked R rated to me.

  • Apple contributing $2.5 billion to fight housing shortage in California

Sounds great and all I guess, but this is California. That money will disappear into a black hole and in the end do very little. People are fleeing from th is state for many reasons. High regulations, to high taxes. We have Governor trying to blame oil company's for high gas prices in this state, when it was HIM and the democrat policy's, that recently jacked up gas taxes, let along all the regulations where it's caused oil refinery's to shut down, limiting competition, and special formulated gases in this state so outside gas can't be used. These politicians act like it's not THEIR FAULT, which is 100% is. That money Tim is donating is a drop in the bucket and will do very little other than make Apple look good I guess. Or they're making so much money that they can just throw some of it away. Well California will need the money to help pay for all the free Healthcare for Illegals as more will flood here because of that. As the tax base shrinks. Even the poor are fleeing. They can't afford to rent a place, better off fleeing the state. The Illegals, they just bunk up and crowd up a home. So money is coming in from a bunch of people to split the costs. American's don't want to live like that. I see it from the Neighbors across the street from me. I think this is a complete waste of money and I'd rather have Apple devices that cost LESS which can help everyone buying Apple products, then wasting money doing what they are doing.

    Exactly!
Well I care, not in fix-ability, but to me I find it interesting on how something is built/assembled. What goes into it. In this case, how they can cram it all into such a tiny device. Of course no one would ever fix them even if they were repairable. Though it would be kind of nice if the battery was easily replaceable. After so long, battery life gets less and less and why throw them away over that?
