Kwikset Premis Contemporary HomeKit smart lock now available after CES debut
As soon as I see that small hole next to the key slot. That’s the smart key think. Where you can easily reprogram the lock to a new key. Problem is the plastic internals. You can break into those locks in 10 seconds with a simple tool and lock the back up when you go and leave. When the homeowner comes home, it looks normal, the key may still work but could fail at any time and that smart key thing will never work as it’s destroyed.
Avoid this crap at all costs. Go to YouTube and do a search for Kwikset SmartKey from Mr. Locksmith. Watch how easy it is to break in. Adding this HomeKit stuff changes nothing.

Editorial: With sales falling backward, Google's Pixel 3a takes a desperate step into chea...
Google had their Nexus phones which were low priced. But they really weren't selling and they were making no money from them. So what does Google do? They try to be Apple. They drop the Nexus line and create their Pixel phones. Phones that are pretty much a copy in looks to a iPhone and priced as a iPhone.
How did the Pixel 1 work out? pretty much bombed. The Camera was rated on top, but didn't matter, few people were buying them. This was also Google bashing Apple for not having a Headphone jack on their iPhone X, that the Pixel did have one!!! Of course the Pixel phones didn't even come with a cheap pair of wired headphones. Then what does Google do, Release the Pixel 2 with NO HEADPHONE JACK!!! WOW!!!! They sell a few more of these things, but Apple sells more on launch weekend than Google does in a year. Here comes the Pixel 3, the larger version with a HUGE Notch!!! The smaller one with still a large Top and bottom Bezel. Sales aren't much better than with the 2.
What do they do. They release this NEW Pixel 3a. A cheap version of the Pixel. So they're going back to the Nexus phone days. Back trying to sell a phone with slim profits once again because they can't sell their iPhone priced Pixel phones. -
Editorial: Google's Pichai claims privacy is a focus, but reality shows work still needs t...
They would go bankrupt without gathering all your personal info. Nothing in life is free. All of Google's services costs money. TO create all those services. The App's, the Networking needs, all the people to do it all and they're giving it all away for free for nothing? LOL. You are paying for it by giving Google your personal info and everything you do. If they don't do that, the Advertisers are not going to pay for the ad's because they can't target the ad's to the group of people they want.
Google makes MOST of it's money from Google Search!!! Privacy is really the last thing they care about. I'm not saying this is a BAD thing. Ad's pay for a lot of things. The TV you watch. The radio you tune into, etc. You know what Google is doing and so long as you don't care about it, great. You get to use their free services by giving up your Privacy. It's not really FREE, it's a trade.
It's really HARD to block out Google or Amazon from your LIFE. Just because so much of the WEB goes through them. I thought this was a Interesting article. Living a week blocking each of Google, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon and Facebook.
https://gizmodo.com/i-cut-the-big-five-tech-giants-from-my-life-it-was-hel-1831304194
The graph showing "Total attempts to interact with my device during the week." Amazon: 95,260 Facebook: 2,238 Google: 40,527 Microsoft: 1,092 Apple: 36
So Amazon is by far and away the worst, while Apple is the Best. It's not even remotely close. Can you Imagine if Amazon also had a Smartphone in the market also. Or worse, a popular one!!!! -
Apple's Siri ties with Google Assistant for most-used voice assistant
You have to remember that MOST Android phones sold are on low end to mid range Android phones. Google also has ZERO presence in China. I know people that use Siri on their phones all the time. I'm using Siri on my Apple Watch all the time, much more so then on my HomePods. How are these Echo devices from Amazon and Home Devices from Google really selling. Apple sells more Apple Watches then Amazon Echo devices for example. How many times are you asking weather and news before it gets old and you stop using them? I think pretty quickly they end up just sitting around most of the time, annoying you more than anything when they go off on their own. So they stop being used pretty quickly. If you get into HomeControl, they can get to be used a little more. But if thy're locked into a room because of a power cord, not as useful as you think without those things littering your house and still doesn't cover you outside, which I find helpful. Which is why the Apple Watch is so great. Worked everywhere I'm at for Home control and I can still ask all my questions like on those devices. The only thing it can't so is play Music out loud, but with some Airpods, you can still stream music with it and that works everywhere you're at. So I can understand Siri being used just as much as Google, even though Worldwide, Android has about 80% of the market. That is ALL Android, Low, Middle and High range phones from many company's. To just Apple and iOS.
