Offering jobs, scholarships, or any advantage in the workplace based on sex, race, gender, national origin, etc. is discrimination. Oops, I'll be quiet, I'm not being politically correct.

Competition is always good for consumers. Looking forward to when I get to choose who repairs my idevice, including myself should I choose to. Ewaste is a serious issue. Just because Apple is done with my device after 5 years doesn't mean I am. 

This is what happens when u inject yourself into the political discourse and forget that you're still just a company that makes money; you get judged for both good and bad decisions. This is an example of a bad decision. Being the self-proclaimed world police on morale isn't so easy is it Apple and Google.

Your disdain for capitalism is clouding your ability to critically think. Do you think capitalism exists in Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, et al.? Please refrain from incorporating your personal issues with legitimate ones of those impacted. This has nothing to do with capitalism. This has to do with religion and other sociological issues in certain parts of the world.

Samsung got tired of filing their own lawsuits, now they're in the business of acquiring companies with existing lawsuits against Apple. /s
