Similarly I just upgraded from my 2006 iMac to a 2018 model. It still ran like new the only functional reason I upgraded was that it could no longer support the most recent OS X versions. Over the years I had added 2 GB of ram and put a solid state drive in it. I gave it to some friends of ours who have always used Windows based computers. After having it only a few months they are now Mac users for life. So yeah definitely get a bit longer use out of some of their products than 4 years.

After years of compromising on user experience, build quality and security, because specs matter most. Now they have to compromise on specs as well. What is left to champion as the only thing that matters, 3.5mm headphone jack? At this point it seems the price of loyalty to the Android platform is accepting you will always be behind the curve. 

Kinda looks like someone put their hearing aid on upside down. Apple's solution is much more elegant and available at a lower price point. I suppose these might be attractive to someone on the Android platform.

I agree that Samsung doesn't copy Apple's approach, but their alternative looks like ass in comparison.

Really this is Samsung’s answer to iPhone X. Granted I haven’t seen the keynote yet, but this seems incredibly boring. They didn’t even bother to try and match FaceID, just went ahead with using two poorly implemented existing technologies in tandem! Then poorly copied perhaps the lamest iPhone X feature. I thought Doulby Atmos was a format for like 100 plus speaker setup, bet it sounds wicked awesome when output through two smartphone speakers /s. No information on battery life, in the article at least. I didn’t bother to seek out the demensions, but since it has the 3.5mm jack it’s going to be at least that thick. These weren’t priced the same as iPhone X, because they know even rabbids Android fans would view that as a poor value proposition.
