Google poaches ex-Apple senior director, Amazon Kindle head for hardware focus shift
On the topic of google hardware I was under the impression that the only one making any money in the hardware side of Android was Samsung. Now Google wants to try and take the few scraps of profit from that as well. How is attempting to screw your partners over a good business move? Am I missing something?

Apple store polling shows slightly improved iPhone 7 stock levels in US
Yep betting some analyst uses being stocked as justification for a downgrade. Really nothing Apple can do about the BS. Bought my short term puts last week, probably gets down 108 before earnings call do to FUD factor. I really hate that Apple is treated so rediculously by Wall Street, however since it's not going to change might as well profit from it.

Samsung issues global recall of Galaxy Note 7, replacement program announced
nolamacguy said:the Apple haters and Samsung apologists are all over it on MR -- "at least they're honest about it", "couldn't have asked for a better response", "have to hand it to them for being in front of this" etc etc... these same people would go apeshit if this was the iPhone.
I can envision the Verge's article headline about this "Apple's latest phone blown away by the competition!!!". Upon reading the article you find out a user accidentally left his iPhone on a charging Note 7.
I heard the sales on the latest Samsung Note were fantastic, a real blow out! /s
After the Note 7's release, one could say Samsung's market share really blew up!

JP Morgan downgrades Apple stock expectations on negative macro trends, Apple Watch forecast
bkkcanuck said:NY1822 said:if Apple releases a second generation Apple Watch, those estimates will be doubled. We know where the hedge funds stand now...the short interest doubled this last month and now we sit back and watch all the scare tactic articles claiming " market conditions " and Apple Watch numbers as a reason to sell
No where in that piece did it indicate that JP Morgan analyst was recommending sell. The current price is around $98USD the target that the analyst has set is 105USD (down from $125USD). To me it sounds more like a "HOLD" than a sell recommendation -- with a potential to raise the recommendation a year from now (due to the potential of "solid earnings growth potential" that year).
It is amazing how some Apple fanboys react when someone is not at Apple's feet worshiping them.
