  • Apple considers $2B Apple TV+ streaming rights grab for Formula 1

    It's not worth it, Apple.
Apple will be able to advertise its own products on these streams - and to an audience used to paying for premium products.  Moreover, when and if there is an Apple Car, having this sponsorship would be a good way to get an Apple Car pace car in some races, putting them in with Mercedes and Aston-Martin.  I am sure that Cue and Apple have done the numbers on this.

  • Apple Pencil 3 leak claims changeable magnetic tips are on the way

Knowing the way Apple prices things, it’ll come with one standard tip, and then you’ll be able to purchase different ones for some outrageous amount.
And there will be a third-party market for people who want a lower price, albeit with a possibility of lower quality.  Apple isn't gouging any more than any other company that does all the engineering and needs to recoup the cost of that.  Genuine car parts cost more as well, with third party manufacturers providing lower cost alternatives in many cases.

Time to start carving up these monopolies.
You mean carving up F1?  So that Andretti can race, despite Wolff, Horner, at al seeking to avoid further competition?

  • Epic takes its 'Fortnite' fight with Apple to the Supreme Court

Fortnite will fall out of fashion some day, solving that issue, but the Unreal engine is actually important until a proper open-sourced competitive engine is available to it.  There are some now, but they are not at the level of Unreal or Unity.  Otherwise, we get the outrageous conduct attempted by Unity the past month as a simple result of monopolization.

This does not look like a case that the Supreme Court is likely to agree to hear, but Epic's problem is that, at the end of the litigation, the preliminary injunction stopping Apple from ending its contractual arrangement with Epic also comes to an end.
