  • New Microsoft Office iOS app unifies Excel, PowerPoint, Word

I don't see this yet in the iOS App Store.
I saw this merged app announced (available) for Android.  As far as I can tell it’s still in beta for iOS... it’s certainly not available on my iPad.
If you follow the link in the AI article on your iPhone or iPad it will take you to the right page. Note that it is ONLY optimized for iPhone right now.

  • Apple issues Safari 11 update for macOS Sierra & OS X El Capitan

This is THE BEST! I updated Safari and headed over to CNN (one of the worst offenders) Stops those damn autoplay videos right in their tracks. I really love this.

  • Up to 143M US consumers exposed in Equifax hack, could impact iPhone buyers

Well that's pretty bogus...you need to wait for an "enrollment date" to enroll for their identity theft protection.  Im guessing they hope you forget to do so.
Pretty ironic that a company that few, if any of us actually do business with and charged with telling the banks that we're "credit worthy" is involved in such an enormous screw up. You're absolutely right though. They DO hope you'll forget. They even tell you to make a note to sign up, because you won't get another notice reminding you to do so. Then on top of that, as SoundJudgment points out, all you get is a "yup, you're screwed" without any additional information and a year of monitoring, is ridiculous. You're data is out there forever. This is way worse than Target, Home Depot, etc.

  • Apple seeds iOS 10 & macOS Sierra GMs to public beta testers

I've been enjoying iOS 10 on my 12.9" iPad Pro for several months now.  The biggest issues I've had with it are 3rd party apps.  The OS itself has been stellar.  Anyone kicked the tires on Sierra?  Thinking about putting it on my iMac since I just got a GM download code for participating in the iOS 10 public beta...
I've had the public Sierra beta since it came out and it's been fantastic on my late 2013 15" rMBP. Only a one little weird issue. My wish list in iTunes disappeared (although I could still see it in our other non-Sierra Macs. I sent in some feedback on it and within a few days got an email from Apple saying they'd fixed the issue (they did and it's working fine now). Really looking forward to the watchOS 3 release next week so I can use the new auto unlock function. Not much risk left in taking the plunge.
