  • Trump demands TikTok sell U.S. arm by September 15 or cease operation

Huh, I reread Article II of the Constitution and I couldn't find which executive power would allow this.  The closest thing is the tail end of Article II Section 3 that says "he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed."  I wonder what law asked the President to mandate artificial deadlines for foreign companies to change their (legal) business practices.
As TikTok represents a security risk to Americans, he can probably use his authority as Commander-in-Chief to classify it as such and ban it from the US, just like he could use his presidential authority to have a terrorist targeted or banned from entering the US.

And if that doesn’t pass constitutional muster, I suspect as the head of the Executive Branch of the Federal government, he has wide latitude to issue an executive order to ban them. And the fact that they are a China-based app overlaps with foreign policy, which he theoretically has the authority “by and with the consent of the Senate” (which is controlled by Republicans right now, unlike the House) to determine if ANY overseas-based apps should be allowed in the US.

  • Apple announces four-for-one stock split

    maestro64 said:
Why split when they been trying to remove shared from the market, just just undid what Apple has been doing for the last 5 yrs. Ask yourself why Amazon, Tesla and over companies still run by the original owner. This just make the stock worth less since any one can own it, the last time they did this the stock did not move much until Apple started to but its stock back. This time they are not sitting piles of cash.
It will take the same amount of money to buy back 4 shares soon as it has taken to buy 1. They’ll just be buying back 4 times more.

  • Following 'Greyhound' success, Apple eyes more blockbuster-style films

If Apple wants to be very picky about what they make and show, then they should buy or get a long term exclusive to carry the movie library from Criterion or TCM. Frankly, Apple’s own series tend to suffer from Left-Progressive politics syndrome.

  • 'iPhone 12' could come with braided Lightning cable, leak claims

I’m sure I’m not the first one here to think, IT’S ABOUT FRIGGIN’ TIME APPLE!
Agree. High-quality braided Amazon cables (under the “AmazonBasics” name) for iPhone have been available for years at extremely reasonable prices. I just won’t even consider Apple’s cables in the instances they’re not absolutely necessary anymore. They’ve easily outlasted every Apple power cable for iPhone/iPad I’ve ever bought.

  • Wedbush ups AAPL target to $450 alongside bullish iPhone 12 prediction

From their lips to the stock god’s ear...

AAPL stock has effectively allowed me to retire early. Now I’m just curious how high it can go in the current market. And this is all happening while suffering under some of the worst auto-correcting in their iOS software I’ve ever seen. Imagine what happens when they fix it. ;)
