  • Editorial: Apple survived 2016's onslaught of fake news and failed competitors

FYI - I love my AirPods. They work seamlessly with iPhone 7, iPad Air, iMac (2012) and can be controlled with Apple Watch 1. Pause playback if you remove one of them and restart when I reinsert it. The Case/recharger is capable, small and of course has same charging port as all current devices so it can be charged in several ways.  Sound quality is better than my other earbuds and the AirPods fit better too and the lack of a cable eliminates the force that would pull them out.

Best holiday present I bought myself and a Apple product invention thru and thru.  Great job.  Kudos to the electronic and manufacturing engineers and the assemblers.

  • Review: Apple's new wireless AirPods put a smile on 2016

I concur with your 5/5. In my two days of use at home with an iPhone 7, iPad Air, and iMac (late 2012) I have found the learning curve for use to be simple for iPad and iMac and immediate with iPhone.  I haven't used the AirPods with telephone calling or answering yet.  I've used my iPhone charging dock to recharge the pod's case. They are everything I hoped for at this point.

  • Apple dissolves Mac automation management post, Sal Soghoian to leave company

I rely upon Apple Script and Numbers every day because of Numbers not having it's own web site access scripting.  Use Automator also.

I've sent my Feedback to Apple about this.  Big mistake.

  • Apple's competition is going to have a tough year in 2016: part 2

    Dan,
you mean Apple's management looks at their (current) products as a whole, sort of like the total return approach in investment management, instead of seeing each product as a standalone enterprise? I'm shocked.

Great article.  Microsoft store own the mall still empty when I walked by today.
