I'm really, really not a fan of Qualcomm. I thought they were a real innovative company advancing the industry forward for a while. Now when I hear them extorting money from their customers in this manner, it's highly disturbing. I hope they lose every case they have, not only against Apple, but through others too. I just hope Intel and others can step up their game and compete on equal footing.

Not sure why, but it I’m really annoyed at Qualcomm and their business practices. There was a way to get around this from the start, yet - they took the winner takes all approach.  The loss of business alone must really leave a sour taste to their management, board & shareholders. 

Everybody wants a piece of that Apple pie - victim of success.  I wonder if there aren't independent property valuators instead of relying on Apple's or the county's own estimates.  That would be the fair and logical approach to disputes like this, not so?

I’m almost certainly convinced that Apple won’t take this to court.  Only if the sales figures seriously harm sales of Apple’s device would they do that in my view.  Apple’s already too far along in its cycle for this device to have affected the sales of the X.  Besides, their global footprint is also relatively small compared to Samsung and Apple, so if it went to court - the returns (should they win) would be largely insignificant.  Xiaomi has been copying for a while, with little retaliation and so have others.  If Samsung pulled a stunt like that, rest assured we’d be back in court in no time 😅😅
