  • What to expect from WWDC 2021 - and what not to

    I think Apple will, but not the way you think or hope for, or anyone seems to be aware of. 
    It seems obvious to me that Apple will make the iPad Pro instantly dual boot: as soon as you’ll connect your mouse or an external screen, iPadOS will offer to switch to macOS, effectively converting you 13” iPad in a 13” ‘MacBook’. Why not? That wouldn’t be a compromise, for the screen as well as the rest of the hardware of the iPad Pro is perfectly capable of running a desktop class OS…   

    Disconnecting you screen could simply offer you to return to iOS…

    It surprises me that no one else on the internet seems to consider this possibility…?

  • What would make a new 2021 iPad Pro truly 'Pro'?

    Dual OS. When connecting the iPad to an external monitor, switch from iOS to macOS. 

    The hardware is capable of it, and Apple has already developed both operating systems. Why not make the hardware run both then? 

    Maybe even offer me a choice to switch to macOS, the moment I connect a mouse, for that’s the moment I start to use a pointer device made for macOS in the first place...

    The need for 2 Apple ID’s was very obvious. Before family sharing it was the only way to share app acquisitions between family members. My wife and I shared the same iTunes/App Store account to purchase music and apps, while having separate iCloud (me.com) accounts for personal files and book purchases and reading history. 
    With family sharing this became obsolete, but we’re  (at least I am) stuck with a separate iTunes/Apple Music/Music Library account.

    If these rumors are true, it will unfortunately not be like what Oppo unvealed recently: 
    For the last 6 years, I was actually hoping Apple would introduce a periscopic zoom... We'll have to wait for the quality, as soon as this is mass production-ready of course, but it seems the future of zooming to me...
