If they do a detachable touch screen then it will kill the iPad. If not then a touch screen doesn't make sense. If they do a touch screen keyboard, it's going to be wierd and probably worse than simple touch pad plus mechanical keyboard. Plus hard to imagine use cases for most people. 

What people forget is that the biggest USP of Apple Silicon is performance/watt. Beat that and you have my money.

I just hope they replace the base ipad with one without the button. It's looks pretty dated now. Want to buy one but don't want to spend on the expensive models,

Apple couldn't continue showing notifications below the notch anymore because that would basically discount the benefits of the new smaller notch. So they implemented this island UI which plays well with the notch and allows the iPhone to display notifications in the same horizontal space as that occupied by the notch.
