The new MacBook Pro: Why did Apple backtrack on everything?
feketesas said:why did fiat backtrack with the 500, why did Mini backtrack, why did Nokia relaunched the 3210... and so on and so forth. if you use the new MBP you'll understand: it's all about giving the users what they were asking for, as well as a feeling of comfort with something they missed (not only the ports - but the aptic as well) when you touch something "retro", you get back memories, emotions. design is not only "backtracking" it's reviving memories too. Personally, totally impressed by how fantastic the device is, feels and even more WORKS! a beast! -

New MacBook Pro with M1 Max processor will ditch Touch Bar, adopt MagSafe
After having used the Macbook Pro with touch bar for 4 years, I can tell you that it's been basically useless for me. Even a hindrance. And I think most people feel the same. Otherwise why would Apple remove it?
The only thing I will miss about the touch bar is the spelling suggestions which were handy. -
Foxconn to acquire first US EV factory in deal with Lordstown Motors
wood1208 said:Foxcomm is establishing contract EV manufacturing in USA to prove to Apple that Foxcomm can do the same good job manufacturing Apple Car as they did for the rest of Apple products. I am sure Apple have global market vision for Apple Car.
And fyi, Foxconn already has signed an electric car deal with Xiaomi, so it's not just about Apple. They are just seeing this as an upcoming business. With so many non-car companies entering electric car production/design, those companies would need a manufacturing partner and as we have seen, existing car companies aren't much willing to do that.
