Or they just realize iOS users care more about design. Whatever the reason though, it's good news. I often listen to YouTube vids in bed and don't appreciate being dazzled when I want to switch to something else.

The current MacBook lineup is a disaster. Ancient laptops with dreadful displays or slick new laptops which are outrageously overpriced and come with keyboards that can’t be relied upon. Oh, and then there’s the utterly pointless touchbar that adds $300 to that already outrageous price. $300 extra for a worse experience. I am also sticking with my 2013 model until they fix this ridiculous situation.

So now they are copying Apple's delays as well. May as well, copying everything else has worked for them so far.

I have a 60" 4K screen. If I am standing right in front of it, it is not particularly sharp. Especially compared with my old 5K iMac. If you wanted a huge, immersive and ultra-sharp monitor, 8K would make sense. I think I'd need at least a 100" screen to benefit from 8K from my sofa. And that is in a small room.

The current state of TV is such a mess. For myself, what I'll be doing now is using the Apple TV to find content, then if Amazon has it, I'll switch to the TVs built in Amazon App and watch it there. If I watch it on my Apple TV I won't get surround sound and I won't get HDR. The Apple TV displays horribly on my Samsung TV if I output HDR. And this is just one service. Factor in all the other services and apps and it's a labyrinthine mess that makes betamax vs. VHS look like halcyon days.
