Even the cheapest of the cheapest AMD processors (which are both faster and use less power than intel processors in their respective use-cases they have been designed for, while being offered at a lower price) support ECC.

Considering that the transition to EUV takes much more time (but is much cheaper in the long run) than using double patterning ArF lithography for 7 nm, I consider Sumsang currently being ahead of TSMC.

Maybe Sumsang Semiconductor understood that being first is less value than being best.

Actually, i think Intel processors nowadays consume more power than AMD's offerings.

Did appleinsider actually miss that the 28-core part of Intels was a fake announcement which ran on an 1 kW water chiller on 5 GHz with an unimaginably big amount of power supply components whereas the 32-core part AMD announced the next day was running air-cooled and already available for purchase. There was a big controversy around this, and a much much bigger one than what one would call an 'controversy' when talking about apple.

Is actually quite funny how Intel succeeds lying about their processors power consumption recently, the MacBook i9 being the perfect example.

I think there should be special court with special people who know about software design and patents considering software implementation, since most of cases revolve about software and associated patents anyways, as it seems to me.
