  • Samsung continues anti-iPhone X crusade with three new videos

    Good gravy, Scamdung. Get help.
    Nothing can help them now...
They have used up all the pixie dust they could find...
Now, they started raging ones they realized they painted themselves into a stinky corner and they have no one else to blame.
Turns out that blatantly copying someone does not actually work, as you can't copy the direction/vector of development, but only a future model. Without understanding of the vector of development and a future model lineup, copying the next product only gets you so far.

So all the other traffic has to adjust to the one car in which the occupant is stressed out? Imagine if air travel worked that way ... oh wait, I guess it already does. LOL
Air traffic, or at least, a particular flight (and sometimes multiple flights) does that. One guy/gal freaks out or misbehaves, pilots then need to land a plane and transfer "the client" into the police custody. All that requires breaking of schedules both for the flight itself, as well as changing landing sequences due to declared "pan-pans" (not always) and emergencies. Sometimes, fuel drop is needed, which costs even more money.

  • Qualcomm exec says Apple's next iPhones will stick to Intel modems

There are so many variables to this, I don't know how Qualcomm can really crow much about it.  I switched from Verizon earlier this year to T-Mobile.  My Verizon iPhone had the Qualcomm modem and the TMobile version has the Intel modem.  I know it's supposed to be slower, but my data speeds have been consistently faster with TMobile compared to Verizon.
That is because there are a lot more variables than just a modem. Driving a fast sports car with a stiff suspension of a track is one thing, but riding in that same car on a broken pavement - the experience that will make your spine crumble and fall down into your pelvis - is a different thing. Infrastracture (road surface) is very important and that is what usually makes a lot more difference to the end service quality, comparing to a modem design (suspension of a sports car). Sorry, I know the analogy is cheesy, but that is all I could master...

It will be interesting to see the benchmarks of Intel vs. Qualcomm. Specs point to Qualcomm still having an advantage
Yeah, but is it worth it? Like, if the difference is 10-20 percent, then there is no difference. Plus, one of the manufacturers is a lot easier to work with...and it ain't Qualcomm.

  • Google's Pixel Android strategy is destroying HTC the same way Moto X gutted Motorola

Google tried to kill iPhone. But instead it killed HTC.
It probably was Google's shortsightedness...aand the fact that HTC started looking more like iPhones is what killed HTC.
Sad story, as HTC would be a far better competitor to Apple, comparing to horrible UX that Samsung offered.
