  • Watch: Apple's 2016 MacBook vs. 2015 13" MacBook Air in head-to-head comparison

less ports to attach ungainly cables to
You do realize that Apple is now in the business of selling dongles to attach anything to this MacBook. You cannot plug in power and another external device without plugging in a dongle first. Anything external requires a dongle. Not many people prefer that method because if they accidentally forget a dongle, they are out of luck if they need to connect to anything.

  • Dead body found at Apple's Infinite Loop headquarters [ux3]

    apple ][ said:

Why would the emergency services be waved off? That sounds a bit odd.
Emergency services are waved off when the person is already confirmed dead on arrival by another source, in this case, the sheriff department who was on scene first.  The coroner's office would then be called.

  • Dearth of new data from San Bernardino iPhone helpful to FBI investigation, sources say

The FBI has lost all credibility in this case. Additionally it's hard to believe that any new data is going to be more significant than the iCloud Backups of the device. Backups which were likely made during the planning stages of the attack.
The last time the iPhone was backed up was in October.  The attacks took place in December.  So the phone could have had three months of unknown data.  But it didn't because it was an employer-issued iPhone and the shooters destroyed their personal phones and computers.  This particular iPhone was found in the back of the shooter's mom's car.  So right from the start, it was unlikely anything was on it, and sure enough, nothing useful was on it.  Of course the FBI would try to put a positive spin on it so they can continue to pursue to unlock anyone's phone.

  • Amazon launches $290 Kindle Oasis, its thinnest e-reader ever

The iPad has zero functionality outdoors because the LCD is painfully difficult to see or read text.  The Kindle excels with exceptional readability outdoors in bright sunlight, and lighter than an iPad.  The battery last much longer too.  These idiot tech writers need to stop comparing e-Readers to tablets.

  • Apple Watch takes 71 percent share of teen market, iPhone remains strong, study says

So parents are buying their spoiled teenagers an Apple Watch.  How nice.  They lose their phones and break them constantly, so I wonder if this is even true.  I have never seen a teenager wear an Apple Watch, and I have only seen a handful of people wearing one around Los Angeles...and it has been a year since the thing got released.  Best part is the small amount of people wearing an Apple Watch are using their iPhone instead!  Their biggest complaint is how slow it is.  Take a look around, no one wears a smart watch because people are smart enough to realize they do not need a device duplicated by a phone.
