  • Judge dismisses class action involving iTunes and Apple Music data privacy

With the case dismissed with prejudice, plaintiffs are barred from bringing amended claims against Apple in a future action. The litigation is dead.

Not correct.  Plaintiffs can appeal the dismissal, and file motions to aside the judgment or for leave to file an amended complaint.

You really have no clue.  This case was DISMISSED WITH PREJUDICE. It is dead.  Look it up. You cannot appeal a DISMISSAL.  You can only appeal a DECISION. There was no judgment to set aside because the case never went to trial.  There is nothing to appeal.

Darn it... unless Apple goes full-force and demands attorney's fees from these a$$hats, trolls will continue to file more and more frivolous lawsuits.  Simply losing a case is not enough of an incentive for these abusers of the justice system to stop.
I'm afraid that's the only way. I mean, look at this. The lawyers did no work at all, so they obviously knew this case had no legs. They hoped that if they were enough of a nuisance then Apple might just agree on a settlement out of court.

There's no point going after the folk they've roped in to help their scam; time to go after the lawyers. Apple needs to start a few lawsuits of their own, start taking their time and money.
That’s not how the court system works.

  • Apple expects to sell over 100M 5G iPhones in 2020

I don't really particularly care exactly when Apple adopts 5G, but you know what I am looking forward to? Apple not lying 2-3 times in a row about whether what they are releasing is actually 5G and making up all kinds of magical "alternate" kinds of 5G which are not actually 5G, and pretending they are 5G, and making up special logos that take up double the space in your phone's menubar for said logos. Like AT&T has. Definitely looking forward to that. When Apple releases 5G, it will a) actually adhere to the 5G standard and b) be called "5G", not "5G Enhanced" or "5G with an annoying small-cap E after it, following a doubly-annoying space" or "5G+" or any other made up thing.
That’s all on AT&T with their fake 5Ge icon.  Apple had nothing to do with that.

    ”educational story about social change”.

and this is where apple is missing the mark.

people only want to be entertained.  escapism.
    Not educated on social change.

That's your opinion. Obviously. You have no idea what people want.
There's a reason one of the most popular channels right now is the Hallmark Channel. No controversy. No ridiculous value signaling. Just good, plain fun. A lot of people--myself included--are sick of being lecture by the shows we watch or used to watch. We've gotten rid of several shows that we regularly watched because they became far more preachy than entertaining.

After all, isn't this really about entertaining people?
Really?  Have you heard of Lori Laughlin and how she spent $500K to get her two daughters into USC by pretending they were athletes?  She was a staple on the Hallmark Channel and they immediately fired her.  No controversy?  Many complained that the Hallmark Channel's movies were 'too white', so they decided to add token African American actors...that act whiter than the white actors.  Look it up.

I'm surprised it doesn't come with the new WiFi 6.
I doubt any professional buying this is doing things off wireless. Wireless is still too unreliable. We're lucky it even comes with wireless to be honest.
This is a feckless comment. The fact is it has integrated WiFi for all but WiFi 6 and it is an oversight. There are many reasons to have this set up and moving forward you will see integrated WiFi 6 for Audio Interfaces, Dante Interfaces, etc. There are all sorts of studio recording tech that could remove the wired trail of hundreds of feet in cabling by this feature alone. The IoT will most certainly need WiFi 6 in dense environments.

Perhaps you should tell Cisco they're morons.

Wired ethernet, especially 10Gb Ethernet, will always be far superior to WiFi.  Perhaps you are the fool for thinking WiFi is the way to go in this type of environment.
