Unfortunately, this kind of hypocrisy of accusing someone of something you've done yourself has become the new normal.  We saw it during the recent presidential elections and during the term of "the former guy".  It persists because it requires no originality and also because there's no longer any social stigma attached to lying.  Shrug.

A "standard Apple brick" is no longer standard. Both recent iPhones and recent MacBook Pros have USB-C charging bricks.

It has happened before.  The original Kaiser health plan was intended for employees of Kaiser Steel company in California.  It has morphed into one of the largest and best health care systems.

In the last 6 months or so, I've seen a big increase in merchants that I do business with accepting Apple Pay.  Now, most of the grocery stores, liquor stores, auto parts stores, etc., are using it.  Restaurants are slower to adopt Apple Pay, but I think that's because they don't yet have devices that can be used at the table (although there's no reason why they can't bring a Square/iPad combo to the table).
