  • Apple may revive 'Plus' name for larger iPhone 14 model

Yes. This sounds very logical. iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max. That makes total sense.

  • Apple wants LG & Samsung to make foldable iPhone screens that won't crumple

My view could change but right now I can't imagine buying a foldable anything.

  • New AirPods Pro coming at iPhone 14 Apple Event

It doesn't really affect me whether or not the charging is via Lightning or USB-C but it definitely needs a longer lasting battery. I will probably have to wait for 3rd party accessories to arrive though. The AirPod Pros will not stay in my ears without attaching 3rd party ear hooks. They have the kind that go over the ear like the PowerBeats Pro but I have the kind that just tuck inside one of the folds of the outer ear. They are very comfortable and my AirPod Pros have never fallen off no matter what I do or for how long with the ear hooks in place. The cost is $14.99 for three pairs so I think it's pretty reasonable. But I do wish that Apple made AirPods that don't fall out. This is a case where Apple does not live up to the mantra of "It Just Works" in my opinion.
I"m with you. Apple has yet to make anything that will stay in my ears. I also used the aftermarket hooks for my AirPod Pro, and they work well to keep them in my ear--problem is, you have to take them off every time you put the AirPods back in the charging case and that gets old pretty quickly, so I rarely use my AirPods Pro any longer.
Yeah, it’s kind of a hassle. I have to remove the ear hooks and put them in a protective cover after every use and then put them back on the next time. I also tend to run out of battery too quick. I have better luck with the Shure Bluetooth ear phones using the triple flange tips. And the battery lasts over eight hours and has significantly better noise reduction because they are exactly the same as ear plugs. The only problem is that they are extremely expensive. Maybe when my battery is totally wasted I’ll try the Beats ProFit.

  • Apple reportedly working on at least three AR, VR headsets

I can't think of a use case for AR vs I can think of uses for VR. I guess we'll see how it all works out.
I think uses cases for AR glasses is an easy one: any information in a heads up display can benefit all sorts of user environments like driving, work, social interactions, etc…but AR for large VR style goggles is harder to surmise. I’m sure AR games on a headset would be fantastic. The floor is lava. Remember how much emphasis Apple put on their AR Kit efforts with iPhone and iPad 3-4 years back when Keynotes demos were live?
That’s what was going through my mind. I never found a use case for me using ARKit. There is the built is Measure app and I have heard of stuff like floor plans for homes and game apps that use it. But I never found a use for it.

  • Apple Watch Pro could have a $900 price tag at launch

I totally forgot that Apple uses two different forms of display glass. The aluminum watch uses Ion-X glass which is similar to Gorilla Glass and the high end watches use Sapphire-Crystal glass. I did some research and found out that the only thing that can scratch sapphire-crystal glass is diamond. So I guess if you really hate scratches you can buy either the stainless steel or titanium models and they very likely won’t scratch. or I guess this years Pro model as well.
