Nomad Sport Slim Band review: a better sport Apple Watchband
Everyone comments on how comfortable the Apple Sport Band is and I don’t recall anyone saying that it’s not comfortable. But for me it just feels icky. Moisture gets trapped under the band and I don’t like the way that feels. I’m wearing the Leather Link Band right now and there is a little moisture there but nothing compared to the Sport Band. So far the Leather Link is my favorite of the ones I’ve tried and I wear the Nomad leather with traditional buckle if I’m in an area where I don’t feel secure or if I’m on vacation. -
TV versus Monitor: The pros and cons of using each with your Mac
A monitor will obviously get you a better picture but I’m perfectly happy with my 40” TV that I’m using with my Mac mini. I’ve got it set up in the living room and I have a TV tray and folding chair sitting right in front of the TV. I very easily switch back and forth from TV to computer. Maybe if I had a family I would have TV and computer be two separate things but it’s working out for me right now. I also have my printer sitting on an end table right in the living room. It might seem odd to most people but it works well for me. -
DOJ gearing up to sue Google over digital ad market dominance
It never occurred to me that Google was doing anything wrong. It seems like they go way overboard on this anticompetitive stuff. If the consumer is not being harmed then I don’t think they should worry about it. Just like Google being dominant in search. The government can’t claim that Google is preventing other search engines from operating. If people are not choosing the other search engines then that’s not Google’s fault. Just like they were so upset that Internet Explorer came preloaded onto Windows. It wasn’t Microsoft’s fault that people chose not to download something else. -
Apple hires veteran Lamborghini executive to work on 'Apple Car' team

Apple had a M1 Mac Pro, but decided to wait for M2 Extreme
DAalseth said:Redesigning the Mini, well to what end? It’s got lots of ports, though one on the front would be nice. It matches the Studio form so there’s constancy there. No reason to do a (costly) redesign when what they have really works well. It would be fun to see, but to what purpose? They aren’t going to add upgradeable SSDs and RAM.
