  • Apple TV with A14 & new HomePod with Apple Watch S8 chip rumored for 2023

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't understand why Apple has not chosen to go the TV soundbar route combining AppleTV and HomePod (HomePod TV?)

This seems like it could be an obvious win.

Maybe there's even a HomePod TV Max (Pro?) that adds a camera to enable living room experience video calls.

I'm sure it's possible that Apple sees the future unfolding differently. Or that they've looked and can't find a way to keep their margins with such a product. But I'm guessing that more than half the homes in America have a soundbar attached to their TV. Possibly multiple soundbars in the same house if they have multiple TVs.

I don’t disagree with you. I use a sound bar just like probably a high percentage of people do. But I have the Bose 900 surround sound system with the subwoofer. So in my particular case, I doubt that Apple will have a better system or even as good a system. But I imagine that Apple could have a much better system than typical.

  • 'AirPods Pro 2' may act as hearing aids & have improved charging case

I can’t use these because they don’t stay in my ears. I skipped the original AirPods because I knew for sure they wouldn’t stay in my ears but I gave the AirPods Pro a shot. The only ear bud speakers that I have ever had success with are ones with the triple flange sleeves and I know for sure that Apple will not have that type. The only company that I know of that has them is Shure.

  • Stage Manager for iPadOS 16 limited to M1 over memory, storage speed requirements

I have an M1 iPad Pro but I can’t imagine that I would use Stage Manager. I just don’t see a need for it in my case.

  • Everything new coming to HomeKit in iOS 16

Are there any Matter doorbells out there? (Or planned)
I believe Matter is coming toward the end of the year. I’m guessing that the vast majority of smart products will support Matter at some point.

  • Everything new coming to HomeKit in iOS 16

I think HomeKit is very useful to me. So far I have Lutron Caséta light switches throughout my home, a Chamberlain garage door opener, an Ecobee Premium thermostat, two August 4th Gen door locks, and a Logitech video doorbell. Everything uses Homekit. The next thing will be Serena window shades which also has HomeKit support. Why do you think it’s useless?
