Apple's 'For All Mankind' tops USA Today's best TV of 2021
harrykatsaros said:GeorgeBMac said:"For All Mankind" -- Haven't watched it and don't plan to.Landing a man on the moon, despite enormous cost in energy, money and human lives, was an enormous triumph not only for the U.S. but for all of mankind: "One tiny step for man...." And, at the same time, the world agreed to keep space open for all without military rivalries or interventions. No, rewrite of that history can improve on what was accomplished there. The reality is far superior to any fiction. I prefer to cherish the reality. The hope and opportunity that it promised has shaped my life and that of others -- such as Steve Jobs who also grew up in that era where even the sky was no longer the limit.(and it was all done with paper, pencil and slide rules (even the emergency rescue of Apollo 13) -- computers (even calculators) barely existed back then. Yet the mighty Saturn V rocket has stood as the most powerful ever created for over 50 years -- Elon Musk's has just now topped it -- but barely!) -
USPS taking Apple Pay for online payments - but still not in post offices
mr lizard said:Amazes me to hear that there’s countries out there where mobile wallet payments still aren’t accepted everywhere. Especially the US which is Apple’s home country.
I don't understand why congress is concentrating on Apple so much when Apple is not even a monopoly at all. I don't think Apple is dominate in most categories, including phones. Samsung sells more phones than any other company. Apple is not dominate in maps, web browsers, streaming services, or personal computers and Apple is not trying to block other companies from selling tablets or smart watches. They shouldn't be punished for making products that people want to buy.
Samsung makes a hell of a lot more products than Apple does. For example; computers, tablets, smart watches, phones, TVs, displays, VR headsets, speakers, printers, SSDs, semiconductors, security systems, washers/dryers, dishwashers, microwaves, etc. Plus Samsung has subsidiaries that make things like ships, wind turbines, apartment complexes, clothing, solar panels, bio-healthcare products, medical equipment, etc. I'm sure that I'm missing a lot of stuff but you get my point. -

Woolnut AirPods Max case review: Functional but pricey
I actually like the case they come in. I don’t worry that something will happen to them because I generally take very good care of my things. Where I work I see people with cracked iPhone screens all the time. That seems crazy to me because my iPhones look like new for as long as I own them and most of the time I don’t have a case. I had a case for my 6S because I thought it was ugly and I have a case for my 13 Pro because the camera bump is just crazy big but hopefully they start making the iPhones thicker so that the bump isn’t so ridiculous. I’m guessing that most people wouldn’t mind a thicker iPhone anyway and also they could fit in a larger battery even though I think my battery life is fine right now.
