So where's the information about... oh you know... pre-ordering?? (Silly me to think the headline would indicate what the story was about)
Nope it was mostly an excuse for Mike to write some ridiculous gripe about force touch, and throw one last jab out there at the external dimensions being vaguely similar to the iPhone 6.
You literally have no idea how I feel about Force Touch. When we get more information about details, like Kaiser35 is looking for, we'll update accordingly.
    In the article you wrote:

"Without more time handling the phone, we can't tell if this is a problem or not yet. Apocryphally, some long-time Mac users haven't cared for the lack of a tangible, mechanical click in the Force Touch trackpad on Apple Portables -- this crowd will likely not be swayed by the new home button either."

Who the hell are these people and who cares? 5 seconds with Apple's Force Touch Trackpads make anyone realize that they are one of the greatest Apple engineering achievements of all time. Literally the most impressive user input device they have ever produced. I'm not aware of a single person that is not blown away by Force Touch trackpads, let alone this alleged crowd. This is nonsense.

The rest of your article is also peppered with similar statements like "While the design is still the same" or "While the camera is still 12 MP" as if these are inherent bad things. I could excuse these things as just random uses of language if I wasn't fully aware of the intention and tone behind such comments. I really don't appreciate any of this tone-setting narrative. If you have an opinion, write an op-ed that people can selectively ignore.

  • Apple announces water resistant iPhone 7: pressure sensing home button, dual cameras, jet black fin

Is charging your phone while listening to music really that big of a deal? Am I the only one who doesn't do this?
No, its simple idiotic troll nonsense.

And its NOT charging while listening to music. There are plenty of ways to do that. It is oh-so-specifically listening to music via wired analog headphones while charging. How stupid is that?

I'm a little baffled about the assertion several times that iPhone 7 is the "first iPhone to have stereo speakers." I think technically they all had l/r channels (or at least the iPhone 5s does) but fairly, placed very close together. I agree this new geometry and capability is a significant upgrade; but maybe not "first stereo speakers?"
    Um...
Stereo speakers = 2 speakers spaced a meaningful difference apart.

Apple gets it right, again...no loopy neck wires, charging in the box, able to use one at a time. If you have to have music doing anything, they look worth it! :)
It's right, but with one mistake: it needs a loop add-on for around the ear guarantee.
No mistake. There will be accessories for those who want that.
