  • Adobe's new Fresco iPad app is designed for all skill levels

I close the door so hard when I saw the price. Procreate here I come.

  • Ex-Workflow employee publishes library of 150 Siri Shortcuts

I might look at these to get a better understanding of how Shortcuts work/s, but I think I will have the same frustrations as I do currently which are.

    • Location based shortcuts: Why should I have to invoke Siri when I arrive somewhere? Location is already on, I should be able to set a shortcut that launches as soon as I arrive at my destination without having to do anything further.
    • Settings: I looked at the Shortcuts update and it looks a little easier to understand and maybe a few more settings are available to access (or maybe just less hidden), but still very limited as to what you can do and when you can do it from what I can tell.
Maybe I'm a dummy, but while better, Shortcuts doesn't seem like it's "there yet".
I believe Automation in iOS 13 Shortcut will let you do just that.

  • Disney now accepting pre-orders for Disney+ streaming service

The biggest news for me personally than this Disney+ is when Criterion Channel will come to TV app. There is an app for Apple TV but I want everything through TV app.

A bit interested in this. Already cancelled Netflix. Subscribed to Arrow Channel. Now waiting to Apple TV+. Life is good. :D

  • Don't update to iOS 13 just yet -- wait for iOS 13.1

And yes, swipe keyboard is great, but how do you type double letters, like le'tt'ers?
you don't do anything special.. you just swipe over the t.. since 'leters' is not an existing word, it should propose 'letters', even without you needing to pause over the t..
That's good to know. Normally I don't trust auto-correct but guess this time I have to.

And I agree with the person above, my X is also quicker since updated.

I always update on release day and thus far, I haven’t encountered any issues. I love the simplified way AirDrop now works with contacts, I haven’t seen the No Sender Mail issue’s, and the new swipe keyboard is pretty cool and comparable to GBoard I used by Google. I’m pretty happy with iOS 13, especially Night Mode.
I haven't either. This time I updated early simply because of Apple Arcade. Without it I might wait.

What I do when typing, as I’ve used GBoard for a long time now, is slightly hold that letter for a split second longer and it registers what I was aiming for. I used to have Apple’s predictive spelling/suggestions turned off, but it was helpful on GBoard so I turned it back on now using Apple’s keyboard. I’d been waiting to ditch Google’s for a while now.
    Thanks. I'll try that.

Btw, when are we gonna see dark theme here, appleinsider? This is sticking out like a sore thumb on iOS 13.
