  • Netflix raising prices on all plans in the US and Canada

I'm tired of Netflix's constant price increases. I've been a subscriber since 2013 and it's just not worth the price anymore. My membership is now officially canceled. Bye Netflix.

  • Texas homes heat up as power companies alter smart thermostats

I live in MA and have opted into a similar program on my Ecobee Thermostat. On the rare occasion that the increased (or decreased in the winter) temperature adversely affects me, I turn the feature off. Not really a big deal.

  • Nomad debuts AirTag holder to fit in your wallet

Though it looks great, AirTag is just just too thick for a wallet, especially for those of us rocking minimalist wallets like Trayvax.

  • Apple's original HomePod was overpriced, and that doesn't bode well for AirPods Max

I love Apple products. I’m fully invested in the ecosystem, but I wouldn’t pay $350 for a HomePod, I did happily purchase  two at $250 each; and would likely have purchased more in the future.

As for the AirPods Max? Same deal. I’d never pay $550 for these. I’d pay $350, maybe $400. But that’s a big maybe.

Like the HomePod, these are probably amazing sounding products (I’ve never used them), and there is certainly a market for them. But, I feel Apple
often gets a little too greedy and shoots too high. $700 for set of MacPro wheels anybody?

How secure is this thing? Does it rely on the puck magnet to hold the phone in place?
“ The MagSafe MagicMount series of chargers do not include Apple's MagSafe Charger, but does come bundled with a 20W USB-C car adapter. The MagSafe Charger slips into the mount and allows simple magnetic attachment of any iPhone 12 model.”
I think that’s what you’re looking for. Apologies if I misunderstood.
Partially. I haven't actually used a MagSafe puck yet so I don't know how strong the connection is. But I am curious to know if it holds securely enough to stay attached to the charger on bumpy roads--especially on a 12 MAX with a case.
