Yeah, it's weird. All he's done is wipe out America's hegemonic empire. 

Apple Intelligence feels like a me too product designed to appeal to investors rather than consumers. Almost every iPhone user I know hates it and asks me how you can switch it off.

I don’t blame Tim Cook though as every tech company is expected to bet the farm on gen AI. Cook would be eviscerated by the markets if Apple didn’t have a gen AI strategy. There’s a lot of hype but no-one has a product that works as promised.

This is my favourite game of the year and it's wild that it's on Apple Arcade from release.

As a customer, the lack of AI in 18.0 is disappointing. As a software engineer, I can understand why they wanted to roll out the most complex and controversial features slowly and separately. Everything that Apple does is surrounded by hysteria and the Apple doesn't want their AI generating offensive images or agreeing with Hitler. The press would have a field day.
