Apple says it wasn't told about UK contact tracing app issues, plans
None of my friends and family are going to use an App under the control of the UK government. It is sad that I trust only Apple to help society and maintain a balance with our need for privacy. Thankfully the Scottish Government under Nicola Sturgeon will have some oversight and will steer us through this morass of mendacity.

Apple prepares imminent reopenings of stores in Kansas City & Glasgow
I have been watching the black hoardings around the Glasgow store for what seems like the whole of 2016. Every day, crossing the city for work: back and forth. What can they possibly have done that took so long? If there isn't a wormhole to another space and time in the basement I shall be most disappointed.
