Apple may be working on two new Studio Display models
I would have thought they would have a new display ready for the M4 releases. I’m ready to replace my 27” iMac with the base model Mac Studio. I currently have a second display, which is a Samsung 27” 5K, but it was only available in mat glass, and I find everything looks a little fuzzy. I don’t want to invest in obsolete technology with the current Studio Display, although I’ve been tempted. Instead, my stopgap is to convert the iMac to a display (directions from iFixIt: https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Convert+an+iMac+Intel+27-Inch+EMC+2639+into+an+HDMI+Monitor/165631). I’ve found a local Mac repair shoot that will do it for 2 hours labor plus parts. That should keep me in business until there’s an updated Studio Display.
