That's funny. All that capacity to make 820s for what?  The next big thing from Samsung that nobody is going to buy.
Android have 85% of world market share - so that's 'what'.  What you, I or anyone else thinks is irrelevant.  All Samsung have to do is make those processors and sell them for a profit.  It doesn't matter if Qualcom dump them in the sea so long as they abide by their contract and Pay Samsung for making them.
Yes, your rationale is good, but losing the contract of the most profitable smartphone manufacturer for other that sells to companies that barely make a dime in the smartphone market is not exactly a winner proposition long-term.

  • New York Landmarks Conservancy to recognize Apple for preserving historic NYC buildings

Que the Apple haters just because that's what Apple haters love to do...hate all things Apple irregardless of any achievements they make.
What means Que in this context.

Being honest, Google beat WS estimates, when Apple do that it goes up too, fourth quarter beat market expectations and the stock went up.
Actually Apple stock has fucking gone down on just about any positive news, new releases in the past several years.
    It's almost a joke.
Last years they beat guidance by a mile and it was meh (because those POS analyst had moved the goalpost at the last minute to make it meh)
So, stop pulling crap out of thin air to justify what really can only be justified by psychology and not company fundamentals.

Google had a fracking PE much higher than Apple 3 years ago when Apple was about to make 150B in profits in the next 3 years, that's the facts Josu.
So, you've can spare you're weak sauce analysis; it's the same crap Wall Street dribbles every year about Apple.

    I'm just tired of it.

The fact is that very high PE companies crash way way way more often than lower ones; more even than their risk profile would entail.
But, hey, this time is different.... I've lived through the god damn dot.com era and I've heard these idiocy before.

First better respect other people opinion, even more when, if you had taken your time and read my reply to sog35 in this very thread you would have seen that my opinion about high P/E stock risk is exactly the same as yours. And I was in the dot com era too.

Sorry to say that, but you acted like a jerk, if you want to judge my analysis skills take your time, click in my name and read all my replies and posts related to Apple stock woes. And probably you will notice that my opinion is more or less the same as yours.

OK, everybody have a bad day, I don't get it personal, don't get the "jerk" word too personal, peace. And read some posts before judging the overall opinion of somebody.

I like the way you avoided mentioning that Samsung have had the only real VR system actually on the market and that it's been there for almost a year.  Oh I know, you forgot.
When has Apple ever been first to market with anything? First != best, and first != most innovative.

Oh, and am I the only one who really isn't excited about any of this?
No. But probably VR is not a consumer product, more a business related one, think about watching your house finished in the lot with all the detail, so you can decide early how to decorate, where to install the sockets, being able to see the detailed blueprints of a house so a plumber can see all the plumbing before opening anything, or an electrician where all the wiring is, etc. ditto for manufacturing, designing, etc. In business can be big. Also in health, training surgeons before a very complex procedure. There is a big place for this kind of tech.

And when Apple, every quarter previously, didn't show a dip in revenue what was the P/E? Anyway near 20, or Amazons ludicrous numbers? And that "if" is a big one, doom having been forecast for a lot of years....
It's funny, when Apple meets its numbers or even exceeds them but the stock does nothing or goes down the refrain is, Wall Street cares about the future, not the past, the good numbers were already baked into the stock price etc. Yet that doesn't seem to be the case with others. Facebook, Microsoft and Google's stock all went way up after earnings. Nobody said their good results were already baked into the stock price. That only gets said with Apple.
Being honest, Google beat WS estimates, when Apple do that it goes up too, fourth quarter beat market expectations and the stock went up.
