New App Store ad slots heavily promote gambling apps
The vast majority of ads I see are gambling apps. It certainly tells you where all the money is at. Sports betting is pretty mainstream, but I'm mostly seeing ads for traditional casino games. It shows they can only attract the bottom feeders of advertisers. Next step is clickbait ads common to regurgitated news sites. It makes the App Store feel cheap to me. It is sort of like if Apple were to start putting stickers on their computers and installed third-party crap-ware by default. -
All iOS VPNs are worthless and Apple knows it, claims researcher
magman1979 said:Obviously this idiot has never seen the exemption lists of MANY VPN clients, even those outside iOS ecosystem, such as Windows and macOS...
Take Cisco AnyConnect, do you know how many domains are in the default tunnel exemption list that end users CANNOT modify?!?!
The guy making these claims is so full of shit it's not even funny. I have yet to see ONE SINGLE COMMERCIAL VPN service that totally routes 100% of connections via the tunnel, except for my own OpenVPN server I run, which I have setup to route ALL traffic, and it actually does, even on iOS! -

Analyst doubts Apple will reveal AR headset at WWDC
Pre-announcement doesn’t mean they will release all the details. I agree that we will only see a pre-announcement if they are ready to ship within 6 months. This isn’t the sort of product that could be easily copied by competitors and many details of the OS would certainly be postponed for announcement at the last second. If Apple is ready to ship by the end of the year, I think they will need to announce it.
