  • Members of congress demand Apple take down Saudi Absher app

The ongoing problem with US politicians. It’s not like Flint, MI has clean water to drink, or there are homeless, or that farmers are suffering, or that our education needs modernization, or that healthcare costs should drastically go down, or updating infrastructure, or…, or… ߘ⦬t;/div>
Bud, you're pointing out issues they would have to actually work to solve.  They're not going to get behind any of that.  They are pointing out an issue that someone else (Apple and Google) would have to work to solve, BUT they can take ancillary credit for because "we shed a light on the issue".   So of course they are going to get behind this.

Politics aside, I think Apple and Google should get rid of the app.  It's pretty terrible.  But the Saudi's... they spend money.  It will be interesting to see what each company does and what their reasoning will be.

  • Apple asking federal circuit court to reconsider $439M VirnetX ruling

”Apple is planning to shut down its two stores in the Eastern District of Texas in order to avoid patent troll lawsuits“ surprised it took this long.
It took this long because laws were only recently changed to allow location of business to be a determining factor in where a lawsuit is adjudicated.

  • Showdown: Samsung Galaxy Buds versus AirPods and the rumored AirPods 2

Samsung also decided not to include any buttons whatsoever on the Buds, forcing users to use their voice and Bixby any time they want to control them. AirPods can be customized inside of the settings app.

Small correction.  Although true they don't have physical buttons, neither voice nor Bixby is required to control them.  The Buds are touch sensitive and can play/pause/skip tracks, take calls, or summon assistants from either ear.

Apple using the lessons it learned at the feet of the master, Samsung.  Just appeal everything.

  • Apple 'Project Titan' vehicle could turn out to be an electric van

I'd put my money on the van being a test mule for Apple's tech.  A test mule that gives no clue to Apple's true vehicle design (if they're actually designing a vehicle and not autonomous software).  Car companies are known for using test mules to R&D tech.  Vans, re-bodied older models, and other assorted vehicles so competitors don't get an idea of what the new product will be.
