ALL It has been 151 years since the end of the US Civil War and approx 60 years since the US Civil Rights movement and Great Society programs have been enacted. The rift between blacks and whites is as great as ever even with the election of a African American President. There is no other equal level of conflict that exists betwwen other races or ethnic groups as the black-white divide, clearly existring methods are not working and the problem I suspect is mostly cultural and not merely skin color as witness by the successful and rapid integration of other races and ethnic groups into the USA mainstream within a generation or two. We need soe deep soul searching here.

Well she had to have some base electorate of idiots who keep electing her into office - in this regard Hamilton was right, the Republic is un the hands of the mindless and irresponsible mob.  

BTW- Franklin so distrusted a single executive rule that he was in favor of a three person panel of executives, sort of like the Swiss Executive model.

Don't to slam the debate on this subject, but if the Major wants to base taxes on the annual profitability of a firm, it can do so with the appropriate legislation and also accept the counter-argument and reality that as firm lose money or are less profitable, then their income taxes paid will be reduced commensurate with said losses as well as those applicable gains! I sure do wish that a pre-requirement of every elected offical would be a mandatory course in economics.

This is not a wise bill. It will be challenged by all the major tech firms up through the SCOTUS. Second, if the Bill passes and tech firms have to change their OS to meet the law, then bad actors will either use a need-to-end app created in-house or from the underground market or the bad guys will simply drop of the net and go black, using non-technical, non-electronic means to plot and coordiante their bad deeds. Instead of this new Bill we need better LE and intelligence capabilities. This Bill is also a good reason why there needs to be term limits on every elected official and judge.

France and the rest of Europe for that matter need to start inventing more tech items instead of taking revenues from what others have invented, this applies also to other areas as well- like supporting their own defense forces and solving their own continental issues instead of relying on the old and rich Uncle Sam!  Someone should tell Europe that WW II ended over 70 years ago and that the big bad USSR and Communism are no more!
