UK's BT publicly supports Google, fears Apple dominance, in EU Android antitrust case
Greetings. I had thought that it was Android and the cheap smartphones makers who so dominated the global and European Smartphone market based upon sheer numbers and market penetration. Apple is indeed the most profitable smartphone maker, but it can be successfully argued that it is not the 'largest' or even the 'most dominant' either. -

Facebook 'unintentionally' harvested email contacts from 1.5M users
FB cannot keep any data secure, it has more leaks than s sinking ship, yet unlike the ill-fated Titanic, FB magically stays afloat with most of its loyal followers rinsing onboard. Bottom Line: do not place any data or say anything on any social media that you would not want the world to know about.

Apple investors should cash in on US-China trade war, says Merrill Lynch
Apple and no other US company should have placed all their ‘production eggs in one foreign basket ‘, when things turn bad, you have limited or zero options. Strategic thinking postulates that multiple distributed manufacturing and item sourcing is key. I hope that other CEOs are learning from Apple’s mistake.
OBTW- Communist governments are not immune from domestic economic, social or political issues. All governments strive for a stable or content populace. The Ancient Romans knew well the value of free bread and games! -
Apple uses platform dominance to 'lock out' competition, says Elizabeth Warren
Well she had to have some base electorate of idiots who keep electing her into office - in this regard Hamilton was right, the Republic is un the hands of the mindless and irresponsible mob.
BTW- Franklin so distrusted a single executive rule that he was in favor of a three person panel of executives, sort of like the Swiss Executive model. -
EU will order Ireland to collect over $1B in back taxes from Apple - report
ALL:
Perhaps this is yet another good reason (that of national sovereignty) to leave the EU! If this realstionship and deal is good enough for Ireland the Apple then that should be the end of the matter. The EU does not provide Ireland with 6,000 jobs like Apple does, so if I were Ireland I'd simply refuse to abide by their decision! What the hell can they do? Expel Ireland from the EU? That would be a blessing and a death warrant to the lazy bureaucrats in the EU in Brussels. -
Yahoo prepares for split, will lay off 15% of workforce in restructuring
She was the Cat's Meow when she took over in 2012, all look and little substance despite her impressive credentials over at Google, which to no one's surprise, seems to have gotten along quite well without Mayer's proported software genius talents. She did not better than Carley Fiorina did at HP.
