You're saying it is criminal for EU to set the rules for companies operating in EU? Really?
Yup. Prime nocta was declared a law too. Nevertheless, Corrupt and sick as can be. Kind of a bad example, and disputed historically. but it illustrates the point.
There are universal rights and wrongs.
Apple did everything right and abode by the law. Then the EU moved the goalposts after apple was entrenched.

Your take is that people can vote, politicians get elected, but they must then be lame ducks due to your "the future won't accept it" clause. It doesn't work like that. Those in power have the power.

Also you claim that the future does move goalposts and we need to accept it. But when you see EU move goalposts then that is not OK. You can't have both. Once again... those in power have the power.
    Bad pizza?

the future is a time yet to arrive, not a sentient being that carries out an agenda. Not sure where you get I claimed that. Nobody likes having false statements attributed to them. Do speak for yourself.

No. Moving the goalposts is not OK when it comes to the law. The law exists to establish order and prevent chaos. When it gets yanked around and the rules rewritten just because some politician(s) wanted to make a name for themselves, it actually CREATES chaos.

Do yea, moving the goalposts in this is definitely a bad thing.

Not right anyway you slice it.

One of the problems here (excusing the fact that the EU stance on Apple’s business is criminal to begin with) is that the EU tells Apple to “do something” but never spells out what that is. So Apple meets them in the middle and it somehow is never enough.

This won’t be either, bevause tje entire goal of the EU here is to harm Apple, mske them less successful, and steal their money.

  • Bipartisan 'Open App Markets Act' resurrected to challenge Apple's App Store control

Clearly they've learned nothing from the EU fiasco and are simply copying a faulty premise,

  • Apple's 'F1' ad in Wallet won't hurt you, but it might save you $10

Yeah... ads don't belong in the wallet app. Or any app other than web browsers, etc.

    Let's not turn into Microsoft.
