  • Tim Cook tried to kill Texas App Store age verification bill by calling the governor

Age verification doesn’t invade anyone’s privacy. It simply ensures thst kids aren’t getting thrmselves or their parents into trouble.

Apple may have parental control options, but many aren’t aware and don’t want yo go hunting for such things.

Apple parental controls are only strengthened by age verification since it can then launch a wizard to run through.

Gotta look out for our people. Guardisng kids without invading everyone’s privacy sounds like a win-win. And having an apple account slready needs your info anyway. Heck rven an email address requires more info than it used to.

  • OpenAI & Jony Ive's AI necklace rumored to have iPod shuffle form factor

Microsoft missed the mobile revolution because they were wedded to their cash cow of Windows. Will Apple miss the AI revolution because they are wedded to their cash cow of the iPhone?
No. Apple is a keen student of history.

Having already begun ai efforts and launching new products such the failed headset shows that they’re not wedded to anything other than putting their best foot forward in everything they do.

  • After a lengthy legal battle and billion-dollar loss, 'Fortnite' is back on iOS

It’s a sad day for freedom.
Because I can now circumvent the App store as save money buying direct? This is actual freedom.
Not for those who worked so hard to build a company snd platform catering to users who value security, privacy, and quality.

And good luck building your dream company with shenanigans like this going on.

  • TSMC's US factory shows the limits of reshoring, tariffs, and corporate welfare

As great as it is to have a tsmc factory in the usa, it’s not an indicator of what’s possible.

Tsmc has already publicly stated that they won’t put a full steam effort in the USA in order to keep Taiwan precious in the eyes of the usa - especially in light of Chinas moves against the country.

  • US officials concerned over Apple's AI partnership plans in China

While it’s a bit frustrating to see apple rely so much on China, people have to realize that China was Cooks secret weapon back in the day when China was humble.

It’s going to be difficult to way from the one thing you know like the back of your hand.

Unfortunately, feeding the mogwai too much has turned it into a hideous gremlin hellbent in overpowering whom it will.

It’s is long overdue to pull away from China,  not reinvest.
And apple needs to beef up AI. Sending the current, wimpy version to another market isn’t going to help its cause.

The American government has announced it wants to go big on ai and be the leader. That’s a good place for apple to join in and help create not only the leading capabilities, but an ethical standard. Won’t happen in China.
