"It should be noted that market research firms like IDC have questionable track records when it comes to estimating Apple unit sales. Apple executives, including CEO Tim Cook, have in the past rebutted quarterly forecasts, implying they are largely inaccurate."

It should be noted that disclaimers like this never appear when it is good news, such as Apple being #1 in sales, #1 in app revenue, #1 in profit percentage, #1 in wearables (Apple Watch and AirPod), increasing market share in Mac sales etc. No, when it is good news, then Gartner, IDC, Canalys, App Annie, Sensor Tower etc. are all right on the money. It is only when it is bad news that they have questionable track records. Reminds me of politics.
Nope. Most folk round here rubbish these estimates whether they’re good or bad because they’re always inaccurate.
No they don't. That's complete bollocks. The analysts are lauded when the estimates are good and the obsessives are all "HA LOOK ALL THE HATERS ARE PROVEN WRONG AGAIN LOLOLOL".
You can spot an “Apple obsessive” by the caps.

  • Advocacy groups urge Biden to keep big tech out of the White House

Definitely exclude Facebook, maybe Google too. But not Apple, they’re the good guys.

  • Apple investigating using Apple Watch to continually measure blood pressure

An Apple Watch with this feature would would be one that I’d gladly upgrade to.

For those who claim Qualcomm is the be-all end-all of modem technology and that Apple can never approach the performance levels of Qualcomm, just remember that the same thing was assumed of Intel in the CPU arena. That being said, IF Apple develops its own modem it had better be as good as or better than Qualcomm’s.
The problem is QC has such a dominant market share as well as a huge head start and experience advantage, putting Apple or any other competitor at a significant disadvantage. We see how well it turned out for intel (of course intel isn’t exactly the top of anything right now...)

You’re right about equaling QC’s performance, though. Performance was a persistent complaint a couple years ago when Apple switched to intel modems. A big potential advantage for Apple, if they can do it, will be to integrate the modem with other silicon, saving space and potentially power.
I would say that Apples single minded purpose for their chip technologies will overcome any advantage that QC has. And once Apple starts using their own modems the loss of that technology drive that Apple demands from their component suppliers along with the loss of revenue stream will further reduce QC’s ability to innovate in the future.

I mean just turn your phone into Apple and they recycle it. How complicated is this? They make that very clear.
Generaly speaking, repairing something is more environmentally friendly than recycling it.  That's the point.

Reduce, reuse, recycle, in that order.
Repairing broken electronics these days involves replacing the broken parts. These parts are too small, too fragile or too complex to be repaired so end up in either the recycle bin or landfill. The small repair shops don’t have the resources to recycle and reuse that Apple does. So, I’m thinking that repairing sounds good in theory it isn’t as clear cut as you imply.
